The goal

To show that diabetes can be managed properly and it does not have to stop anyone from succeeding in life or living their dreams.

Raising money, raising awareness

Although the initiative's community outreach is in its early phases, it continues to grow. Taylor’s Type 1s has already helped raise €21,574 in support of diabetes kids camps in Austria through the annual Vienna Capitals Christmas jersey fundraiser.

HOCKEY FIGHTS TYPE 1 DIABETES

An awareness initiative based in Clark Mills, New York, that is spearheaded by Matt Roach, who's son Logan lives with type 1 diabetes.

The above logo was created as a secondary mark to accent the cause's already established branding.

The blue circle is the universal symbol for diabetes awareness, and the blood drop represents the thousands of blood tests that a type 1 diabetic must perform throughout their lifetime.

Jerseys for a cure

In conjunction with this new secondary logo, Full Stride Designs and Hockey Fights Type 1 Diabetes collaborated to create four unique jersey designs.

These jerseys, along with other Hockey Fights Type 1 Diabetes merchandise, are available to order online. They are often worn at hockey fundraising tournaments organized by the initiative, as well as being worn to create general diabetes awareness.

The proceeds from jersey/merchandise sales and other fundraising events are donated to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) with the hope of one day finding a cure.
